Scientology and Dianetics Books in the Languages of Europe
New Era Publications, founded in 1969 to publish the works of L. Ron Hubbard, is headquartered in Denmark, with other European offices in the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France and Spain. New Era publishes books by L. Ron Hubbard in 53 languages and offers a broad selection of Scientology and Dianetics books and audio-visual products through their on-line bookstore.
Scientology missions have the responsibility of providing introductory and basic Scientology training and counseling services to their communities. Scientology missions can be found in Albania, Austria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the Ukraine.
Churches of Scientology in Europe
Like Scientology missions, Scientology churches provide introductory services to people who are new to Scientology. Scientology churches are also responsible for establishing new missions and helping the missions in their areas. Additionally they train and certify Scientology counselors and provide all Scientology and Dianetics training and counseling services up to the state of Clear.
There are Scientology churches in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Russia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.

Scientology Personality Testing
To improve anything it is vital to really observe the situation and sort out what needs improvement. Scientology churches and missions are dedicated to accomplishing the aims of Scientology. They coordinate with other religions and socially conscious groups to handle important issues that affect their communities.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers
With the motto “no matter how bad it is, something can be done about it,” Scientology Volunteer Ministers serve the people of their communities. They are trained in basic Scientology techniques to handle such things as relationship problems, job stress, conflicts and marriage and family difficulties. Scientology Volunteer Ministers live in communities around the world, and encourage anyone in need of help to contact them through the Scientology Volunteer Minister “locator.”
With drug abuse such a serious problem, a primary concern of the churches of Scientology is getting effective anti-drug education campaigns carried out, to save our children. Scientology churches from Spain to Russia work on drug-abuse prevention programs, giving lectures and passing out copies of booklets designed to give youth a real understanding of the effects of drugs and encourage them to stay drug-free.
Churches of Scientology Publish Freedom Magazine in Europe
Freedom Magazine is published in Spain, France, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the United Kingdom, Holland, Russia and Sweden. Many of these issues are on-line. Freedom Magazine provides in-depth coverage of important social reform issues and information on community programs run by Scientology churches.
European Human Rights Marathons
Scientology churches work with members of other faiths to guarantee religious diversity and bring about greater religious tolerance and freedom of conscience throughout Europe. As part of this they hold Human Rights Marathons to promote the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
Exposing Enforced Drugging of School-Children
Scientologists have been in the forefront of the movement to prevent the enforced drugging of school-aged children in Europe. The Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), a church-sponsored mental health watchdog group, has published booklets and translated them into many European languages to inform parents and educators of the harm of using addictive amphetamine-like drugs to handle so-called “learning disorders” in children. CCHR is well known throughout Europe and internationally as a champion of the rights of mental patients.
Religious Recognition for Scientology Churches in Europe
Scientologists in Europe and everywhere are proud of the recent religious recognition for the Church of Scientology in Sweden and the victory in a 17-year legal case in Spain, described as “a vindication of Scientology’s religious ministry and social betterment programs in Spain”.
The Future
The Church of Scientology International and Scientologists everywhere look to the new Europe with optimism and hope; that nations of such great diversity of culture and belief can work together in the spirit of trust and tolerance to serve as a model of freedom and peace for all nations.
